“Bronde’s” have more fun

I am a few days away from turning the big 3-0, yikes! But… before the clock strikes twelve on June 9, I had to make a change!  I used to be very adventurous with my hair but as I settled down in life- got engaged, married etc.- my hair settled as well.  So I took the plunge and lightened my hair for summer!

A change like this takes some research.  I had to be sure that I had the best colorist and I totally found him!  Matt Rezaiyan at Salon True in Sherman Oaks is a color genius! I don’t know what it was but from the very first moment of our consultation I knew that I could trust him with my hair. I let him know that I was unhappy with the dull appearance and my hair needed something to brighten it up and most importantly I still wanted to be considered a brunette! He suggested that he would add some golden tones. Sounds easy, but it is a process and does take time.  He added some foils and also painted on the color (balayage) to create a more natural look. Not going to lie, sitting in that salon chair for almost 3 hours made me feel really anxious but a part of me knew that it would all be worth it! I was confident I was in good hands.

The final look, ahh!!! I was shock.  My hair hadn’t been this light in years and I was so not used to it, but I was sooo happy!

Thank you Matt for giving me a fresh start to this new chapter of my life.  I am so thrilled to have finally found a stylist that I can count on! xo, D

  1. I have been wanting to try out an ombre look on myself too, so this post was awesome to read! I have really light blonde hair right now, so I plan to dye it back to my natural color (which is super close to yours!) and then getting an ombre like this! Do you mind if I print off this picture to bring to my colorist? (: I adore it! And happy early birthday!

    • Thank you!!! I’m so happy you like it! Yes, feel free to print out and show to your colorist. I’m sure it’ll look great on you! Thanks for the early birthday wishes 🙂 xo, D
