Laguna Beach- my part-time reality

LA will always hold a special place in my heart, but sometimes you need to get away from all the hustle and bustle.  Laguna Beach in Orange County is my home away from home.  I’m fortunate enough that my family invested in a property where we can visit whenever we need a break.  It might be only an hour and thirty minutes away, but when you’re there… you feel like you’re further from home than you really are.

Laguna is one of California’s beautiful treasures. The water is blue, the air is clean and the people are amazing! I’ve compiled a list of my favorite spots to visit while I’m in the area.  I hope you’ll get to visit soon!

Alessá Laguna Beach Italian Restaurant: One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to that is just as good as the food back in Italy. Order anything on their menu and it’s good.  I tend to stick with their house-made pasta specialties.  They have a Limoncello Pasta that is to die!  It is Limoncello infused radiatori pasta with scallops, prawns & a Pinot Grigio Wine Sauce. A must!

Gelato Paradiso: Ahhhmazzinggg Gelato!  I don’t care how cold it is outside, I must have a fresh baked waffle cone with a scoop of Bacio (Dark Chocolate Hazelnut)!!! This brings me way back to our visit in Italy last summer. This gelato is legit!

rooftop-lounge-laguna-beachRooftop Bar at the La Casa del Camino Hotel: A cocktail in hand overlooking an amazingly stunning view is the perfect way to spend an afternoon in Laguna. The Rooftop Bar is located at the La Casa del Camino Hotel, a spanish style hotel that is breathtaking.

Clothing: Heavenly Couture: This store is a must for trendy unique pieces at an affordable price.  Everything is $16! I’ve found great light summer dresses here and the people that work there are extremely helpful and sweet.  This boutique is 2 doors down from Alessá Restaurant.

Home: Tuvalu Store: The perfect boutique to find Beach themed home decor pieces.

This beach is also a very popular surfing location.
